Beggining the Drama

From about 6 months ago TeiloTrimble asked if I'd like to make an internet drama series with him. Always interested in a creative challenge I agreed to something I never realised would take over a huge part of my life. Pizzaman was born. A meeting was had with writers, ideas were submitted. Ideas were chosen and very basic episode layouts were drawn out. My role at this stage was script co-ordinator. I phoned, I talked about, I discussed with writers. About 12 gave us first drafts. Some good some not so and a number of problems began to arise. Lack of cohearence was the main. The main character was a different person in each script. A lot of it was wordy and uninteresting. What were we to do? How could we work this out? A producer subsequently left the project to do something else. A few more writers came aboard. All with skills of their own but nothing that worked with all the others. The learning process had begun. The talking and delegation skills were there but the pre-pre-production skills of development created an important learning curve. Something that has continued. The next step in the story is to come soon. Stay tuned - Pizzaman is coming.
